David T. Hedrick
Chief Executive Officer and Company Principal
Mr. Hedrick has been in the health insurance industry for over 30 years. Before forming National Audit, he was Executive Director at a Fortune 500® health insurance company’s service center in Jacksonville, Florida. He was responsible for designing, planning, launching and managing the service center’s processing operations handling Florida and Puerto Rico. At the Center, he oversaw 1,400 employees, the processing of 10 million claims, 4 million customer inquiries and an operating budget of $37 million.

Sharon Houlihan, RN, BS, CPC, CMAS
Audit Program Integrity Officer and Company Principal
Ms. Houlihan has 20 years of managed care claims cost management experience as well as fraud and abuse detection and investigation experience. As our subject matter expert, she continuously reviews changes in Medicare, Medicaid and industry payment trends to improve our audit processes and provide a “Best in Industry” service to our clients. Before joining National Audit, she was the Investigations Manager at a major medical facility that operates its own health plan. She was responsible for the development and implementation of its anti-fraud program. She also brings hands-on auditing experience, having performed thousands of hospital chart audits, DRG validations, High Cost Drug and Skilled Nursing Facility audits.

Nayfe Faillace, BS, LHRM
Privacy Officer and Company Principal
Ms. Faillace has been in the health insurance industry for over 15 years. Ms. Faillace served as Director of Customer Service, Government Relations, Grievance and Appeals at a regional health insurance company. Subsequent to the sale of the company to a large national health insurance company, she took the position of Vice President of Operations in Puerto Rico. Ms. Faillace was responsible for the operations of the claims processing and recovery, enrollment and customer service departments. She is also a Licensed Health Care Risk Manager.

Lori A. Hedrick
Senior Vice President, Financial Transaction Division and Company Principal
Mrs. Hedrick has 25 years of experience in the health insurance industry. Prior to joining National Audit, she was Director of a service center located in San Antonio, Texas for a large, national health insurance company. Her duties included responsibility for claims administration, customer service, documentation of claims administrative procedures and policies, handling of grievance/appeals and inquiries from governmental agencies.

Hans Christensen
President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Christensen is a 20 year executive with a broad base of experience in the health care industry. Prior to joining National Audit, he was the Vice President, Health Care Professional Services and member of the Executive Leadership Team for one of the largest health insurers in the nation. In this role he was accountable for all domestic and global provider operations.

Prior to this role, Mr. Christensen served as Vice President, Medical Resource Management and President of Nurse Health Line for a national health insurer. He was responsible for leading all aspects of Claims Cost Management, Deal/Negotiations, Post Claim Underwriting as well as oversight for the Pharmacy Benefit Manager relationship. Mr. Christensen began his managed care industry career spending 10 years at a large, national health insurance company where he held various leadership positions. He was the Vice President and Executive Director for a regional service center responsible for Claims, Customer Service and Claims Cost Management. In addition, he reported to the Executive Vice President and was accountable for strategic planning, budgeting and mergers and acquisitions.

Michael L. Liddick, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Liddick, Chief Financial Officer at National Audit, has over 30 years of financial experience which includes both private and public accounting. Before joining National Audit, he owned and operated a public accounting firm, whose clients included several health care companies.

Rena Bielinski, Pharm.D., AHFI
Chief Pharmacy Officer
Dr. Bielinski has been in health care for over 16 years. Prior to joining National Audit, she was the Chief Operating Officer for a regional home infusion company, where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of pharmacy, intake, distribution, medical records, and human resources. She was also responsible for maintaining compliance with JCAHO, ACHC, OSHA, HIPAA, Performance Improvement, etc. Prior to that, she held the position of Director of Clinical Data Management at a national home infusion company, with responsibility for clinical data integrity, patient satisfaction reporting, outcomes management, ORYX (JCAHO), and OASIS reporting for 92 pharmacies nationwide.

Mark Lavallee
Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Lavallee brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience to National Audit. Prior to joining National Audit, he has held numerous senior sales and marketing positions within Fortune 200 and other large organizations such as General Motors (GM), American Honda Motor Company, and Automatic Data Processing (ADP).

Phyllis Baum
Chief Administrative Officer
Ms. Baum has nearly 30 years health care experience. During her eighteen years in the insurance industry she directed large inbound call and claims processing operations. She also managed support areas such as Overpayment and Recovery, Grievance and Appeals, Credentialing, Eligibility, Contract Loading, and Provider Projects. In addition, Ms. Baum served for three years as an Examiner for the Florida Sterling Council and worked as a consultant for Health Maintenance Organizations in the mid west and western United States.

Angela Kurosaka
Chief Nursing Officer
Angela Kurosaka, MSN, RN, CNN is a Nurse executive with more than 20 years experience, primarily in the field of Nephrology. Her experience in Operations and Regulations comes from DaVita, Inc., a Fortune 500 company. Angela recently graduated from the University of Alabama with her Masters Degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Case Management and currently enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at the University of Alabama.
